We finally have our first beehive
This is a top bar hive - with a window so we can peek in without bothering the occupants
Probably too late to get a hive going this year
(mid-June is about the latest to start and still hope to have a hive health enough to live through winter)
but...
If we were to happen to find/get a swarm in the next couple of weeks we will still give it a try
otherwise, we are set for next spring!
