April 25 - Day 269

Don't they look excited?!
Over the years some of the kids have helped at the soup kitchen as schedules allowed.
Since Amelia moved out I don't think anyone has made it.
Abby now has her driver's license, but since we have only 1 car and ELT is on Wed (the day they have usually helped) It just has not worked out.
This particular week we got a call asking if there was anyway they could make it as there was going to be a shortage of helpers this week.
How did we make the car situation work? Glad you asked...
After ELT I dropped Seth & Abigail off at soup kitchen (and made them pose for this picture), I ran a couple errands with the three youngest (major sacrifice on my part), picked Dennis up from work, he drove us home then back to the PD and left the van in the public parking lot then when finished with his work for the day came home with his work car. Once Abby & Seth were done at the soup kitchen they walked up to the PD got the van and then went to church for youth group.
*Whew* car juggling can be tricky work!
